Job Description

• Accountable for the quality of medical reports
• Responsible for establishing QA procedures for new and existing Clients
• Responsible for meeting our clients expectations for report timeliness
• Reviews existing procedures and suggests procedural changes to improve efficiency without compromising report quality
• Reviews medical reports for accuracy, consistency, and aesthetics
• Assigns medical reports to appropriate QA staff
• Provides detailed review of QA staff performance and provides feedback accordingly
• Work with operations to ensure efficient turn-around times from report dictation to client delivery
• Prepares addendum, supplemental, and clarification requests from clients to providers
• Deciphers dictated voice-files and associate them with the correct report
• Coordinate transcription of medical reports from dictation to delivery using various electronic exchange platforms
• Responsible for existing and recruiting new transcriptionists
• Responsible for transcription scheduling

Education, Experience and Skills

• Education Level: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent working experience
• Medical terminology experience a must
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Developed negotiation skills  
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Motivated to learn
• Proficiency with Windows XP, MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent knowledge of word processing software and medical database systems
• Experience in a medical / insurance related industry
