Job Description

  • Generates business through advertising campaigns using both print and electronic medium.
  • Achieves sales goals stated by MSLA Management including overall growth in dollars.
  • Grows overall sales by aggressively prospecting for new business (new accounts and expanding existing accounts).   Part of weekly report to management.
  • Determines customers’ explicit needs by use of the established selling methods; matches the company’s products and promotions to those needs to maximize opportunities with each customer. 
  • Establishes effective strategy. Develops approaches that best position services, or ideas; leverages supportive factors overcomes or minimizes barriers, and addresses unique needs and preferences of key decision makers. 
  • Demonstrates capability by presenting services or ideas in a manner that clearly shows how they would meet needs and provide benefits.
  • Creates a pre-call plan for each sales call (sales review, product review, call objectives) and conducts post-call follow up in a timely manner.
  • Delivers well organized and compelling presentations (workshops, seminars, etc.).
  • Effectively utilizes sales tools (sales aids, technology, data) during sales call.
  • Utilizes marketing programs for effective return on investment.
  • Analyzes regional opportunities, strengths, and weaknesses and develops action plans to achieve goals.
  • Identifies priority accounts based on current volume and/or account potential and willingness to partner.
  • Builds business plans for priority accounts that address specific account needs, identify key promotional activities and specific actions steps to ensure overall growth.
  • Follows a flexible call schedule to ensure all accounts are covered and priority accounts receive the appropriate focus.
  • Understands trends and events that impact the business.
  • Implements national and regional promotions and programs.
  • Uses technology, tools, and software applications to manage sales activities.
  • Develops, creates, and maintains business plans for key accounts.
  • Performs training for customers (as needed) on services and proprietary software applications.
