About Dr. Sonny

“Dr. Sahniah Siciarz-Lambert, aka “Dr. Sonny”, is MSLA’s Medical Director.  Dr. Sonny completed medical school at Universidad Central del Este (UCE), San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic in March 1989.  She graduated with multiple honors from the University in various subjects.  Her experience has varied from OB-GYN, surgery, pediatrics and general medicine.  Subsequently, she was a Resident at the University of Southern California, Department of Internal Medicine at County USC Medical Center in Los Angeles, California.  As an Intern and Resident at USC, she was appointed to the Residency Review Committee because of her exemplary performance.  In her senior year, she was offered the Chief Residency position.  This was considered a great honor as there were greater than 100 Interns and Residents.  Dr. Sonny opted instead to enter a fellowship in Pulmonary & Critical Care at the University of Southern California, Department of Internal Medicine at the Los Angeles County General Hospital.  Dr. Sonny was in fellowship from June 1996 until late April 1997. 

After fellowship, Dr. Sonny went on to join a group of physicians specializing in second opinion and disability evaluations.  In 1998, the dream of having her own practice came to past and MSLA, A Medical Corporation was created.  The Omni Medical Group in Covina and Palm Canyon Diagnostic Services in Palm Springs were simultaneously opened for patient care under the MSLA family of clinics.  Soon after, Dr. Sonny found the need to recruit more physicians for patient evaluation in various specialties, including psychiatry, psychology, neurology, physical medicine and rehabilitation, orthopedics and pediatrics.

Dr. Sonny leads MSLA’s group of physicians in training, establishing protocol and procedures, quality assurance, and standardizing the performance of diagnostic testing, including pulmonary function testing, EKGs, cardiovascular treadmill tests, Doppler, radiology, etc.

Dr. Sonny has gone on to obtain AMA Physicians Recognition Award in CME, has obtained a Radiology Supervisor license, and regularly lectures at the State and private industry level on selected topics.  Dr. Sonny maintains a private practice in Pasadena and volunteers her time to treat the underserved at no-cost to the patient.
